2020 Binghamton Regional Invention Convention

March 21, 2020

Binghamton Imaginik is conducting an invention education program open to all students in grades K-8 in both public and private schools. This program encourages children to explore, to invent and to increase awareness and appreciation of the importance of invention in the United States.

Participation in this free program requires students to develop a new idea for a device or a new method for doing something. By thinking of a problem they encountered, students use their ingenuity and creativity to come up with a novel solution. Now affiliated with the National Invention Convention.

September: Teachers and Students receive disclosure forms. Teachers explain the Student Invention Convention program to their students and pass out disclosure forms.

December 6: Deadline for submitting completed invention disclosure forms to: Invention Convention Center for Technology  & Innovation Inc., 321 Water Street Binghamton, NY 13901. Phone: 607-231-6991

Early February: All Students who submit disclosures will receive a letter confirming the date, time, and location of the 2020 Invention Convention. Participants will be invited to make prototype (can be a non-working model) of their invention for display.
